Who we are

The Saplings is a Portland-based folk/bluegrass/Americana band, created in 2017 by a collection of parent musicians and friends. Playing together brings us a lot of joy and we like to play for for others, too.

Members include:

• Steve Hall (mandolin, guitar, vocals)

• Jessica Kleiss (cello, vocals)

• Alex Nelson (banjo, vocals)

• Cheyenne Weil (vocals, ukelele, penny whistle)

• Tamily Weissman-Unni (vocals, ukelele, percussion)
